SAMANTHA SCHNEIDER
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sam is an Edmonton based, mixed media artist who creates vibrant, loose work mainly using watercolour, acrylics and ink. Working outdoors is central to her practice as it is being in the elements, in front of the subject that inspires her to respond creatively.
She can often be found drawing on Tottenham Marshes and enjoys using found material to draw with, to connect her to the surroundings. She is inspired by nature and in particular the juxtaposition between the local industrial and natural landscape.
Sam studied Visual Communication at Leeds College of Art and Design and works in arts project management and community engagement. One of her ongoing projects involves an artistic exploration of her late grandfather’s book of life advice, which she has used to run creative projects in care homes.
